Radient Texture Rubbings...

New technique? Still working on this. I picked up a couple new Sculpy texture plates. I one day may use them with clay, but I got them for paper crafting! So this is my 1st go with the plates, Lyra Giant pencils, radient rain & color washes... Too bad the shimmer dosn't show through, so use your imagination! More to come!!!

More on acrylic paint transfers

More fun with the transfer technique! This lovely girl is from magazine, which transfered really well. The image got a little wrinkly-perhaps the quality of the mag's paper.... I accented her eyes with a white Signo gel pen & .01 Pigma micron.

She's mounted onto a flocked paper, and accented with orange to compliement the Dried Marigold and other distress inks.

Acrylic Transfers...

OH MY! I was 'ink-spired' by Claudine Hellmuth today. She did a demo at CHA doing transfers using Metallic Dabbers! Gave me an 'ahhhh-ha' moment. I've been playing around with Golden Gel medium transfers the last couple weeks, and HAD to give this a try with a few different acrylic paints here.
2 are done with Liquitex Glossies Copper High Gloss Acrylic
Enamel. The images are from a magazine. The other 2 are done with Ranger's Distress Crackle in Tattered Rose. The girl is an ink jet print, and the other is a copy from a copy shop.

My 1st "Skinny"

March 18, 2008
Today I played instead of doing something I should... Imagine that! I worked on some techniques, and then created this 3x5 "skinny" for a swap on one of the groups I'm in. The GIANT postal image is complements of MaVinici's Reliquary and done with a packing tape transfer technique & Distress ink on the backing. 1st attempt with that. Interesting...
The background I came up with today involves Radient Rain, walnut ink, color wash an iron, a texture plate & a Lyra pencil... a New technique? Perhaps! More on this. it's fun!

I'm demoing "Collaging" at Artist & Display in Milwaukee today. Here's a shoe they had me work on.

This is a "functional" ATC I did in a Zettiology (or at least my interpertation of) theme.
