CHA Winter 2012 Releases!

I consider myself pretty 'tech savvy'. But seriously, this took me a good chunk of today to figure out how to set this up as a online PDF link! But I did it! and I LOVE the way it's going to work out!

I’ve been pulling together the new Releases by Tim Holtz and Ranger, and have put them into documents for you!

Listed are the release dates (to the best of my knowledge) along with prices. As usual, Tim’s not shy with his winter release!

There’s A LOT of new items. Some of the newer dies, like WORD PLAY is an XL die, and the price is pretty steep.

I have limited information on the ECLIPS for his STAMP2CUT.

RIGHT NOW, the very BEST PRICE you’ll see on this is over at OH MY CRAFTS  . No way I can beat it, so if you have a desire to buy this machine, go there! It lists at $490!!!! They are offering it at ½ off! The STAMP2CUT sets will be $59 each…..

Tim's card continued....

In my post below, I didn't upload the full image of the card open. It was difficult to tell what the 'style' of the card was

This is the card style It's called a Fancy Gate Fold card design.

I've changed my phone from an Android and BLOGGER to IPHONE and BLOGERPLUS (ooooh, we will see just how 'PLUS'). Hopefully, images and content will work better!

Happy Birthday Tim!

Saturday January 7th is Tim's birthday, and Linda over at Studio L3 is hosting a Birthday card making event to coordinate with her Grungy Monday challenge!

Well, I've been needing to get creating, so this was a perfect Challenge to get me going!

I used one of the older stamp sets, CMS015 ROAD TRIP. Don't know WHAT took me so long to bust out this one, since I love the Old Jalopy and the phrase!

The background is done with Distress Re-inkers in Antique Linen, Forest Moss and Tumbled Glass, spritzed with Biscotti Perfect Mist. For the cardstock I was experimenting, and used Ranger's Manilla and Krome Cote (inside of card) to see how differently it behaved compared to my standard cardstock.

 I pulled Tim's picture off his blog, resized it and added him into the window of the Jalopy! There's MICA in the windows, which dosn't show up well in the pictures.The key, the red circle and transistor are all vintage items I added in.

The actual card design is from Technique Junkies, 3D and Fun Folds CD, and is a Fancy Gate Fold.

This picture shows the inside, which is done using stickers from Tim's Sticker stash, and a transistor I adhered with Glossy Accents.

Tag 12 Frozen Charlotte Angel!

Oh my did I giggle when I saw this one!

I love it when Tim uses something in a new and different way!

I've always been on the fence with the Frozen Charlottes.

How cool Tim turned her into an angel!

And a naked one at that!

Reindeer Noel Tag

The other day at band camp....

The other day when my friend Gretchen stopped by, I was helping her with an idea for her quote books. Beautiful hand-made books full of various quotes she collects. She wanted a unique cover for a watercolorist. So, she sparked an idea with me, with a very simple technique that always turns out great!

I used Distress Inks pads in Forest Moss, Bundled Sage and Pine Needles, stamped ont watercolor paper, then spritzed with water. WAIT WAIT WAIT
for the inks to blend out, and then heat it with the heat gun!

I over sprayed it with Perfect Mists in Pearls for extra shimmer!

 

I stamped a quote over the card I made from Wendy Vecchi's line. But on the tag, I knew the Reindeer would be perfect!

He has a wreath that is from watch parts!
I used the Tattered Banner Die cut from Kraft Glassine and inked with Picket Fence Distress Stain. It's stamped with music.

The NOEL 25 die was cut from heavier glitter paper by Recollections.

And the Tree, I bleached this. Yes I did! Post below about that!

Tag 11 MELT ART with UTEE and Shrink Plastic

Today's tag is one of my favorites.
(yeah, yeah, yeah, even Tim says' that every day LOL).
But seriously, it is.
 The Christmas Memories
is my favorite Christmas set ever!
I adore the Retro look.
And can you just imagine all the phrases you could put in a comment bubble above Santa's head??

I've used this set in many of my tags since it came out, and  have yet to stamp the jolly old elf on glossy.
